ENROLLING STUDIES
Mild-Moderately-Severe Alzheimer’s Disease with Insomnia
Using Melatonin Agonist to reduce insomnia, requires sleep pattern of less
than 7 hours a night on 5 to 7 nights.
MMSE score of 10-26, caregiver living at home and willing to attend
visits.
Relapsing-Remitting MS
To Assess the Effects of Using Combination Therapy of Copaxone and Oral
Steroids, requires RRMS Dx., Copaxone Tx. naive or less than 6 weeks, and had 1
relapse in last year.
Relapsing-Remitting MS
T-cell vaccination (TCV) is an antigen-specific therapy that is similar to
that of traditional microbial vaccination, where attenuated infectious agents
are used to stimulate protective immune responses.
Autogous TCV is the use of attenuated myelin protein reactive T-cells as
the treatment agent to sensitize the regulatory mechanism of the immune system
in subjects with MS to clonally deplete circulating myelin protein reactive
T-cells (MRTC). The deletion of MRTC
appears to correlate with a reduction of MS symptoms.
Relapsing-Remitting MS
To assess the safety and efficacy of an oral once a day pill which binds to a
docking site on immune cells, including T-cells and B-cells, that have been
implicated in causing nervous system damage in MS.
The pill induces them to remain in lymph nodes where they can do little
harm, preventing these cells from migrating into the brain and spinal cord.
Multiple Sclerosis
A comparator study to evaluate the effect of regularly scheduled neutralizing
antibody testing on treatment patterns versus usual care of high dose interferon
(Rebif or Betaseron) treated patients.
Must be on the same high dose interferon for at least 12 months.
Parkinson’s Disease
To assess the effects of immediate versus delayed use of Stalevo on Motor
Function and Quality of Life, requires Dx. Of Idiopathic PD, experiencing end
dose wear off, MMSE score of greater than 26, Hoehn and Yahr score of 2.5 or
less, taking stable dose of immediate release Carbidopa/Levodopa at least three
times a day for at least one month, and naive to use of Comtan or Tolcapone.
Parkinson’s Disease
Open Label multicenter effectiveness and safety study of once daily Azilect (Rasagiline)
as mono or adjunct therapy.
