What To Expect

Before the Test

Please leave all jewelry at home, and be sure that your hair is clean and all hairclips and hair treatments (sprays and gels, etc.) are removed. Bring comfortable sleeping attire and your favorite pillow if you desire.

When you arrive, a specially trained sleep technician will position small sensors at various points on your body to continuously measure and record brain waves, eye movements, muscle activity, heart rate, respiration and more.

During the Test

While you sleep, the technician will monitor your progress and capture any abnormalities. The study is painless and the bedrooms are designed for your comfort.

For certain tests, the technician may fit you with a mask and breathing device to help you sleep better.

After the Test

Coffee and a light snack and showers are available. The technologist and the physicians will interpret the results of your sleep study. The doctor will confirm a diagnosis and, if necessary, develop an individual course of treatment that will be sent to your physician.
